Poke Checking/Rebounds

Setup around the front of the net , a semi circle of 6 - 8 pucks that are 3-4 feet in front of the crease. The goalie is to start at one end of the semi circle far enough out to cover the angle. He then poke checks the puck in front of him, usually needs to dive. Once he has performed the poke check, he then gets up into postion as quickly as he can to take the rebound shot from the coach. You continue this around the semi circle of pucks. The purpose is to develop the poke checking skills, as well as the agility and quickness. The positioning of the goalie and puck is also developed Thanks to Phil for the drill
